This chart explains some of the common measurements you'll need to find the perfect size for all your dog's gear. Here's a quick cheat sheet for using this chart for different types of gear and equipment:

Collars, Bandanas, Cones - 1 neck + 2 lower neck

Harnesses - 2 lower neck + 3 chest girth

Coats, Sweaters - 2 lower neck, 3 chest girth, + 4 Length

Body Suits, Pajamas - 2 lower neck, 3 chest girth, 4 length, + 5 height

Life Vests, Car Harnesses - 2 lower neck, 3 chest girth, + 10 weight

Boots, Socks - 6 paw width + 7 paw length

Muzzles - 8 muzzle length + 9 muzzle width

Kennels, Crates, Carriers - 4 length + 5 height

Not every brand will provide all the measurements you might need to find the perfect fit, so it's always best to try on the gear before you by if possible. Even if you can't, having accurate measurements will increase your chances of finding a comfortable and safe fit for your dog.
